Full of taste: Corn-fed chicken with herb butter
Our corn-fed chicken entices through inner and outer beauty, but even more by taste. And it is so easy to prepare. You don’t have to worry about the right temperature or heating mode anymore, simply select the dish you want to prepare and the oven takes over – thanks to a special ingredient, the Assist function for automatic oven settings of the Serie 8 ovens. Ingredients | For 4 servings
Universal pan | 3 tbsp frozen Italian herbs without onions | Meat: |
Herb butter | Salt | 1 corn-fed chicken (1.6 kg) |
60 g butter, soft | Pepper, freshly ground | Salt |
1 tbsp olive oil | Sweet paprika powder | Pepper, freshly ground |
Preparation
1. Beat the butter with an egg whisk until creamy. Add the olive oil and herbs and mix. Season well with salt, pepper and paprika.
2. Rinse the chicken briefly in cold water and pat dry with kitchen towel. Season with salt and pepper both inside and out. Carefully detach the skin from the meat on the breast. Insert the herb butter between the skin and breast meat.
3. Place the chicken into the universal pan with the breast facing down and cook as indicated.
4. Turn after approx. 30 minutes and roast until done.
Setting procedure
Select “Menu”, continue with the “Assist” function, choose “Chicken”, then dish “Poularde, unstuffed”, add in the weight and press “Start”
Tip
The Italian way: Serve a risotto to your chicken. The risotto should be creamy, but the rice still have some bite. For an extra Italian flavour add some parmesan flakes. Bon Appetit!
